Happy Groundhog Day!

Thought I'd pass along a few quick bits of news. First, a few of us are meeting with State Rep. Kate Hogan this coming Friday to discuss our ideas for the park. My original thought was just to try to get a letter of support from her and Jamie Eldridge, our state senator. I figured I'd send over the proposal and maybe a legislative aide would write a letter for them to sign or something... They're a lot more hands on than I expected! Jamie Eldridge called me today to talk about the proposal. He was very positive and supportive. I believe he wants to check in with Sally Bubier, our contact at the Board of Selectmen, before doing anything -- but I expect good things to come.

Second, if you haven't visited our website lately, take a look! We've done a little redesigning. Please let me know if you have any feedback or find any dead links.

Finally, I thought you might like to know that MayDOG is part of an ever-growing network (25 groups and counting) of dog owners/dog park groups in Massachusetts. On Saturday, Feb. 14, a number of us will be meeting in West Newton to discuss what's been happening around the state. I will keep you all posted on the latest developments.

Take care,
Lisa
