We've got two events scheduled for May: one tentative, and one confirmed. The confirmed event is a dog training workshop with Gerilyn Bielakiewicz, CPDT, a well-known author and expert on dog training and behavior. This people-only workshop will be held on Sunday, May 3, from 1:30-3pm at the DOGS! Learning Center in Hudson, 577 Main St. Tickets will be $60 for the general public, $50 for MayDOG associate members (that's most of you), and $35 for MayDOG full members (that's those of you who have paid member dues). This is a significant discount off her usual fee of $70, and she is donating a portion of the cost of each ticket to MayDOG.

The second event at the end of May is still being planned, but it looks like it will consist of a 5k fun run/1 mile fun walk (dogs optional), and a Mayfair. The fair will include vendors, community groups, fun contests, demos of disk dogs, agility, dog dancing, and more! IMPORTANT: we need people to help put this event together, because I can't do it by myself! Please reply to this email to volunteer. Remember, it's up to all of us to work together if we want to bring a dog park to Maynard. It's not going to happen without a lot of work, time, and money, but many hands make light work. So if you want it, step up and help make it happen!
